Are you in the midst of negativity? …

A relationship?…within your family?…your neighborhood?… or at work?

How easy it is after months or even years of absorbing the poison to settle into the comfy chair of toxicity. The chair begins to conform to one’s very self until it’s easier to sit and just be. Over time one loses sensitivity to behaviors, attitudes, minsets, or conversations that in the past would make one cringe.

Why conform when you can conquer that which has lulled you into this false comfort?

You can not only free yourself; but effect change. How?

Lead by example.

Shake off that fanny fatigue and stand up for starters…let your very posture be counter cultural.

Then speak…don’t let the yuck around you give you a lump in your throat. Staying silent intensifies the sickness of negativity. Regain your voice by using it for the good.

Be a part of the positivity revolution.

And then with a smile on your face that will crack the pouty faces around you, lead by example. Be a Tom Sawyer of positivity…you don’t need a paintbrush and a picket fence but courage and conviction to step out in your uniqueness. The rest will follow. And if it doesn’t – walk away and bring that gift of you elsewhere.

But whatever you do…don’t ease back in to that comfy chair of toxicity!

Yes, lead by example. The world needs you in all your uniqueness. You have a choice.

“Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make makes you. Choose wisely.”  Roy T. Bennett
